Hi! This is my first post so go easy. I grew up a Tennessee fan and around sports in Kingsport, TN as my dad was a coach, umpire, Mets scorekeeper, etc. I also graduated from UT in 2001. I love TN football but it’s hard to keep watching. I hate to lose but it’s worse the way we keep losing. I hate to admit I want Pruitt fired! If he stays how are we any better next year realistically? We have talent but it’s not being developed. I am hoping HB can get us there but I’m not that optimistic. It just seems there is little to look forward to in the off season and spring practice.

Hey just sit back, relax and know everything is all taken care of with Fulmer at the helm.

Welcome wagilliam. I grew up in Kingsport as well and graduated from Tennessee in 2000. I was lucky enough to be in school for the 98 season. As to your post, unfortunately the AD hasn't cared about football performance in a long time. The only thing they care about is the $$$$. Until the performance affects the $$$$, we are stuck with what we have.

I think we can all agree Pruitt is not gonna be the guy to lead us back to national prominence. Fulmer wanted stability and to re stock the kitchen cabinets so to speak. Pruitt will win 7 or more games next year and will technically have us bowl eligible for 3 straight seasons. Assuming this year were a normal schedule, I think even the fire Pruitt now people still concede Pruitt would have went 6-6 this year. 5-7, 8-5, 6-6 isn’t where we all want to be, but is stability where the bare minimum is to make a bowl game. We will need to pull the trigger next year though if Pruitt doesn’t win 7-9 in year 4 imo.

My freshman year we beat Virginia in the Sugar Bowl. Can you believe it was that long ago we went to New Orleans? I did make the trip to Orlando after I graduated. Enjoy the new Vols 😂

If our offensive philosophy does not change, the ol' pound the rock offense and play great defense, we will always do poorly....

Our offense is very dated and has expired....

No, I guess we don't all agree so you didn't think much.

lol. That’s awesome. You forget to add a few points (and the blue font). I’ll do it for you...

We’ve all come to appreciate the intelligence and vision of Pruitt. He’s made a lot of great little decisions that are under appreciated such as keeping JG in the game. It would’ve been dumb to try to get someone else an opportunity. Even though the whole advantage jG supposedly had was knowing the playbook, it made a lot of sense to just dumb the play book way down (when he kept throwing away games) instead of allowing the other guys a chance to play. And we all love the fact that Pruitt doesn’t try to be an inspirational or motivator of young men. That’s overrated. So is a having a coach on the sidelines with poise that makes intelligent in game decisions. And halftime adjustments...that’s for the birds. Who wants to waste their time with that. Also, proper grammar is totally overrated. I especially like it when he was we “done good”, even when we get blown out. I love his sense of humor. Ya Pruitt is definitely the man. He’s taking us places.
I feel we should also take a moment and recognize fulmer for how his finger is right on the pulse of the fan base. We hired such a sharp intelligent ad that’s so on top of things. He’s a risk taker which if one of the things I admire in him. He’s also excellent at contracts. And I don’t really mind that he asked all the coaches publicly to take a pay cut while giving himself a raise under wraps. And who could blame him for not wanting that to become public knowledge.
Yes. Welcome to the fan base. We’re in great hands with an administration and coach that really know how to get it done!
