Florida is too much for TN at this point???? Now how in the world did we get to that point? Maybe piss poor recruiting? I wonder who's fault that would be?

Man, fulmer tries to find any reason possible to bring up the 98 season. Says brantley is going thru what Tee did after Peyton left.

That's the only year any coach in the country could've led UT to a championship. It took a rediculous mistake by Arkansas to make it there.

That what happens when you only have 1 season to hang your oversized hat on during a 17 year head coaching career.

Exactly. Thanks, Phil, for driving this program right off the edge of the world and into football hell.

Yeah, one good season is all he ever had. You people kill me! His winning percentage was one of the best in the country until his last two years. You Fulmer bashers are as bad as Obama and his crew that still constantly blame Bush......MOVE ON! We blame because were losing, if we had won the game, I'd be more than willing to bet no one would give credit to Fulmer.....why? because it wouldn't make sense to, so let's focus on what we have and give our support.

Thanks fulmer, but your denial of a downward spiral in your career put ut in this position. You should be rooting for ut to upset Florida and ending the streak instead of crying in a Poole of donuts.

Correct, because he did absolutely nothing positive in his last five years that would have contributed to the success. Everything that this team accomplishes will be in spite of Fulmer's ineptitude over that period.

I will give you that he was a good coach in the 90s, but he left this program in far worse shape than it was in when he inherited it.

What else did he do? Win the SEC in '97 and proceed to get his teeth kicked in by Nebraska in the Orange Bowl -- a fantastic game I had the privilege of witnessing in person. He did have a good winning percentage against the likes of Vandy, Kentucky, South Carolina, and the Fighting Shulas. He was exposed for the mediocre coach he was against the likes of Spurrier, Meyer, and Saban.

I've moved on... you don't see me starting a Cookie Monster thread every few days. When one pops up, I have no problem giving my 2 cents -- especially when Failmerites show up to promote their wounded warrior and his "winning percentage."

I hate fulmer more and more every day.

All he really said as far as a "prediction" goes is:

“I just think Florida’s ability to run the ball, they’re playing great in the kicking game and very well on defense is probably too much for Tennessee at this point,” Fulmer said.

What's wrong with that? He also said:

“I think Derek’s doing a good job,” Fulmer said. “He’s doing what he has to do."

and...

“He’s got lots of challenges around him internal and otherwise that people need to give him time and need to support him."

Some of you still bashing Phil are pathetic. He did a great deal for the program. Did he have a bad spell at the end, yeah sure. But he made ut a nationally respected program as well. So, how about you stop the bashing and move on. It really is pathetic.
