Everyone is a goob compared to you beef. So you still secretly holding your love in for CPF. No matter what changes he makes in a game they are wrong. I am sure you will be at the KY game crying because you lost your true love.:cray:

Not everyone just goobs like you.

You really are an idiot arent you. I stated it was time for a change before it happened. I have faulted him when I think he was wrong and given credit when he deserved it. I still think in short order the majority of fans will remember the good over the bad with Fulmer.

You honestly think that they wont remember him losing to Wyoming? Ok vol fans trivia question, what team in 1996 with a record of 3 -6 embarassed the vols beating them 21-17?

Did I say that? Dont let facts get in your way. I said that the majority of fans will remember the good over the bad. In 10 years the first thoughts of Fulmer in most VOL fans eyes will be of good.

Not trying to jump in the middle of yall's argument, but this season is going to be hard to forget. We have witnessed the program go from to teetering on the edge of disaster to plunging head first into it's depths.

we have all but forgotten the Championship.

Sustained runs of success or failure make it easy to forget the runs at the other end of the spectrum. It's pure human nature. It's why economic bubbles continue to pop up, only to be burst again and again.

Ok goob boy, if he would have stepped down in 02 maybe or after 05. But he has let it slip way too much now for people not to remember this. maybe he is himself to blame for raising the level of expectation which was a good thing but however he has certainly put a mark on this season that the MAJORITY of vol fans will not forget and he will be remembered for having the best and worst seasons in vol history.:cray:

He will go down as a legend for winning a national title. In 10 years most will not even think about the last years.

Maybe not remember the last years, but they will remember the year (assuming UT loses the last one or two) that Fulmer set the record for most losses in a season.

If Fulmer had retired after 2005, nostalgia would have papered over all the bad, and he would have been regarded as an unmitigated success. But two losing seasons in four years is going to leave a stain. Losing to Wyoming is going to leave a stain. If we lose to Vanderbilt and Kentucky in the same year, God forbid, that's REALLY going to leave a stain. This season is going to make it a lot more difficult for people's memories to gloss over the second half of his career. He'll be remembered as a legend, all right, but now it appears he'll be remembered for two legendary seasons, not just one.

Who cares what the players think of Hamilton they play or pretend to play for Fulmer and i think rule of thumb when these thing happen most players try to send there coach out with respect not disgrace. The players can say what they want but they have embarrassed the man they claim to love so much.If they don't want to play here transfer. We want people to wear the Orange Jerseys with pride not like a bunch of middle school babies.

When UT drops another game, Fulmer will go down as the only coach in UT history to lose eight games in season.

Just to clarify, are you suggesting that that will be the only thing he goes down in UT history as? Because if so I have to say you're highly mistaken.

The guy will honestly go down in history as one of the best coaches we've had. Yea here at late he's been fairly, ok pretty, bad, but still 2 losing seasons in 17 years...trust me, he'll go down in history as a better coach.

Still think Hamiliton made the right decision, just think it's funny that people claim he's a terrible coach. Because honestly, he isn't, it's just these past years that he hasn't performed up to par and that was is downfall.

just leave him be at this point guys, he's already leaving UT at the end of the season. he got fired, there's no more need to criticize him coaching the program now...

I honestly don't know how most will remember CPF, but I will remember the good over the bad. The problem though is that whenever his name comes up, with regard to UT Football history, he will be known for "the coach who won a national championship" and "the guy who stunk up the joint before he 'retired'". Whether he deserves all the blame for this year is besides the point, he has forever tarnished his legacy with the 2008 season.

Unless he gets a certain player, named Eric Berry, injured for life by putting him in to play QB when his team is 3-7 and totally hopeless. Then, fans will remember him as "The Legend Killer".

Hot air a-plenty in this thread. Oh yes, people will remember this season (legend or otherwise). I still can't forget the 2005 season. It haunts me. This season... well, you know.

Yea, but this season is way worse than the 2005 season. At least in '05 we kinda sorta had an offense that could compete. Along with that...in '05 we at least went 5-6...this year, even if we do win the final 2 games, we'll only be 5-7, I think I'd rather have the '05 season myself.

Players get hurt all the time. I hope he doesnt but if he does it will not be the coaches fault. What if he gets hurt playing Defense? How is that different? What if he is running back a pick? Should he make a pick and take a knee?

If that happens, I hope Randy Orton shows up and kicks Fulmer squarely in the skull.
