Fulmer's favorites (2008)

I'll start:

Jon Crompton: Most coaches would be concerned as early as Spring ball for him to be a starting QB. Most coaches would put changes into play as early as a couple of games into the season. Apparently Fulmer stuck with him and it wasn't until the Auburn game and pressure to finally sit him on the bench; he came back during the Vandy game to start and finished the season as the starter.
None of our quarterbacks played well at all. Crompton has the physical ability to be a good quarterback, and he had some experience. Fulmer, like everyone else, hoped that he would settle in and be successful once he had the starting job.

He didn't get the job done, and neither did any of the other guys. Fulmer and Clawson waited way too long for one of them to figure it out, instead of just saying, "to heck with it," and lining up and trying to grind out some victories.

So we went 5-7, and Fulmer and Clawson are looking for work. Simple as that.
