You guys haven't won the SEC yet. Take a breath...

We are talking about next year. I don't count on anything this year. I am impressed with the Gators so far but concede that the defensive inexperience is going to be a problem somewhere along the way.

But as it stands now, next year's Gator team doesn't seem to have any weaknesses.

I think LSU is considerably more talented than FL this year, but next year looks like the Gators' year.

Caveat...that's not to say FL can't beat LSU...but LSU's defense and O-line makes a poor matchup for FL.

UF's D-line and DBs are weak---they will lose 3-4 games this year. Tebow can't win every game when the D is getting torched.

I disagree. I think UF may lose 2 this year. However to think we can't beat them if we get a competent coaching staff next year is stretching it.

That's just an absurd statement. You may have more talent on the bench than on the field, but your best players are just totally outclassed by UF's best.

I'm not saying that to troll and stir the pot or whatever. It just seems apparent to me after two a week ago that UT has a real problem with speed and athleticism. You might have 5 players the caliber of UF's starters. But no depth.

That is an asinine statement. For all the speed that UF has, UT has just as much. Don't mistake speed for tackling ability.

I think UT has more talent than UF, and it just isn't being coached.

At what point will people ever concede that Florida is just better than we are right now? I agree that they outcoached us last week, but they also had superior talent in a lot of places.

i thought it was a given. but i also know who is responsible for the talent level.

No disrespect to Arky State, but there is no reason why they should be able to post 27 points on any SEC team, especially one of the premier schools like we used to be.

Agreed.

Still, there are some head scratchers...like how they replaced their tremendous defense with FR and SO and still managed to totally stifle our run game and offense in general.

Florida is no doubt better, but to say we can't win at home next year?

As loaded as Florida will be in '08, they are likely to be co-preseason #1 with USC. Odds of UT beating them next year, if they couldn't compete this year, are very slim.

Next year, UT will have a much better secondary, 3 wr backs + young wrs getting better, 3 very good rbs back and a few players like Jones that UF has not seen yet. UT loses Ainge, that will hurt, but Crompton will be fine with his style of qb, especially with all the talent around him next year.
