Assuming he intends to stay only a couple of years.

Mark Ingram.

Look him up. A VFL. Wonderful person. SEC AAD experience. And has achieved things at UAB that can only be considered miraculous.

Why? Fulmer loves UT. Why would you even think it's for only two years???

I would love to see David hired as Associate AD and get the job. Might not be a sexy hire but I feel David has UT's back.

Guess what calling a moderator a DA makes you? Anyone with an IQ above room temperature knew it was a joke.

It's also way early to be talking about Fulmer's replacement. If Pruitt succeeds, Phil will be here a while.

Actually, Fulmer might want to exit before he has to replace a coach in another sport. His corner of the room wanted him to get the football situation right, and hopefully he did. But will he be a fish outta water choosing coaches for other sports? Most here won't care about that, but there are plenty of Tennessee fans who do care about the other sports.

If he decides to step aside once he feels football is restored, it won't be surprising. But if there is a need for him to address other sports, it will be worth watching.

Anyone who thinks Fulmer is going to leave voluntarily is dreaming--they will have to carry him out. That said, as long as he does a good job then no one should be worried about it.

Let's also hope he brings back good hires & fires if needed to bring the other UT Athletic programs back up.

It seems to me, everything considered, that Pruitt was probably the best AVAILABLE hire. For that I sincerely apologize for all of the bad things I said about Phil; and I said plenty. Hope the football program gets back on track--finally!

Well the worrying was about what might happen for him to get the job and what happens after. Now that he has it, why worry now? Whatever will happen for good or ill is going to happen. And despite my disdain for Fulmer, for the sake of the athletes now on campus and yet to come, I hope he proves me wrong. We will know soon enough.

Another bammer? No thanks

I took it as a joke as if you were referring to the former Alabama running back Mark Ingram. At least that's how I took it. I thought it was hilarious and that was my first thought when I clicked on the thread.
