I'd say Currie got himself fired and Davenport named Fulmer to save hers. The house cleaning has begun and isn't over.

Nah. I will say one thing. Fulmer was a conservative football coach so expect the same with his hire. I don't see him bringing in a big name coach. Tee Martin may be a someone he'll look at.

This is my take as well, I'm still not sure fans will like what Fulmer is selling.......time will tell

I don't know how he'll be able to afford to bring in a big name coach. $18 million for Butch and his staff is now out the window. $5.1 million to Currie for doing nothing.

The cost of mistakes at UT has gotten so out-of-control that it feels hopeless.

WhomEVER Phil Fulmer hires I know it won't be someone that we'll have to wonder if he has an appreciation for Tennessee or not. I like that.

I was at that UGA hob-nail boot game. Not sure I want to go back to 3rd and Chavis.

However, I also remember winning 8 in a row between 92 - 99 and 11 - 7 overall vs GA while riding with Fulmer. Not, just the one we lost on a last second play. It sucked that day because we were accustomed to beating those clowns. Bet you can't say you've had that feeling (being accustomed to winning against any team) since wanting him gone and making him leave.

How have the Vols fared since they let Phil Fulmer go? How has LSU fared since they let Les Miles go? Schools fire good coaches all the time because they always loose to(enter school of choice). Then we go chasing coaches with suspect 500 win/loss records. The super great coach Mullen who went to florida was a whopping 69/46 at Miss.St.
