The downward spiral at TN is not the assistant coaches it is the HC. Every time Chavis recruits a stud for defense Fulmer the old O lineman moves him over. When was the last time anyone saw Fulmer get in a players face who blew a play? No disclipine and I am over hearing we will need to watch the tape and get better. There is a sign in Bristol 20 ft in the air that says " TN Vols the new Vandy of the SEC" I couldn't agree more. Give our recruits a chance and get them a real coach!:banghead2:

EB kinda ruins your theory. Phil refuses to switch him.

I bet Jason Witten is pissed Fulmer moved him to TE. Clearly his future was elsewhere

Thats great for Witten but as I recall did he not leave early and while he was at UT we only got about 2 yrs of playing from him.

We aren't going to get a new coach as long as people keep filling the stands. They are saying that a mediocrity (at best) is okay with them. People not going to the games is more that just the game. When Tennessee is playing at home it means a lot the the economy of Knoxville. When you start getting into people's pocketbook then they start listening. To a lot of people just as long as they win no matter how poor they perform it is okay. When people call in on their shows all that is allowed is positive comments. After the game, you would have thought we had just beaten Texas or USC. It makes me sick when hear people like one of the callers after the game said give Coach Foolmer and Coach Clausen another year and they will get it going. That is the problem. We keep giving Foolmer another chance year after year after year while the program is circling the drain. As long as he is her it is not going to get any better only worse. We will continue to lose to Ala., Fla., and other top teams and he will find a way to be the lesser teams and brag about his winning record. Take away Vandy, Ky., etc. and see what his record is. Since 1998, his record against the better teams in the SEC is 9-23. He also has a losing record in bowl games ( remember the back to back blowouts in the bowls games to Clemson and Maryland a few years ago). Now the Alabama game has been moved to a night game. I don't blame CBS for not showing it because we continue to embarss ourselves on national tv (ex. Fla. game when they showed people leaving in the 3rd quarter). It makes me sick knowing that he needs to go, but what can we do.

Feed up with mediocrity
