Fulmer: "We miscalculated the speed of Harvin"

Our coaching staff doesn't count all 59 of those points Tuskaloosa, some of them were junk points which apparently don't really count. Junk wins on the other hand, they will count all year.

Now show me where I claimed that we beat anyone down. You should kneel down and give a prayer of thanks to your Saban shrine that in addition to the 200 yards of rushing, the 49 return yards he had made him cramp or he would still be running against you.

Don't forget to thank Nutt for skipping the Clock Management seminar at coaching college.

I really don't understand your point but I bet no matter how great of a teacher you are not everyone gets an "A". An "A" game is what it takes to beat a top ten team. My higher education has taught me that anything aside from math, science, or engineering courses I can teach myself and found instructors to be conveyor's of information from a book or powerpoint that I could read on my own. Yes, in the end it is the students responsibility not yours.

Your original post just sounded like a bad attempt to deflect blame from where it should rightly fall. If a teacher fails to add anything to a students knowledge or understanding, then they are not very good at what they do. Add to that the fact that if part of the teachers job is to recruit students for the class who either already perform at higher level and develop them further, or recruit students who show promise of reaching a higher level, then it really is as much the teachers fault as it is the students. Can you lead a horse to water, but not make it drink? Sure, but that must mean that Fulmer is not as good a recruiter as he appears to get credit for. Is performance in one game an indicator of a coach's ability? I don't think it reliably is. Is a team's performance over a 8 year period an indicator of a coach's ability? I think it sure is. Last night was not one game the team didn't show up for, or not perform to their potential, it is an indication of a downward trend that is getting pretty close to the bottom.

Don't forget to thank the referee either for giving bama a free timeout to measure when he was a yard short.

The ref also sounded extremely enthusiastic when calling the penalty on Arky and allowing the TD to stand. Almost sounded like he had just won the lottery.
