ESPN must have never tuned in and watched the exciting Phil Fulmer show. He's the "lack of color" man. I wish him the best, but the man has a dead pan delivery. I hope they don't try to write in any jokes for him. That would be painful.

He wants the exposure, a big ego booster for him.
I'd say exposure is close, I think he wants to keep his name/face out there for the time that comes down the road when a coaching job opens that fits his pay expectations and where he thinks he can win. Just like in politics...name/face recognition.

Phil did great things for the Vols, no reason to bash him now for wanting to be on tv a bit. Hope he does well.

He will work like heck to get ready for this show. Imo, i think phil just wants the attention.

I can't believe it took 19 posts for someone to repeat this overused cliche. I wonder how long for a donut reference?
