Anyone think that would be a good fit? He likes hunting and fishing. He would not have a high bar set, and if he can recruit the right guys, CO fans would be thrilled with 7-9 wins a year and bowl games.

Colorado fans would need more than 7 wins to like Fulmer.
Bill McCartney flat ruined it for everyone else who will come to Boulder, unless they somehow catch the next Urban Meyer or Bob Stoops on the way up. What has become The Failed Coach's M.O. would get him fired just as fast as Hawkins.

If Fulmer can lose to Wyoming with the players that UT recriuts, I don't think he can win at Colorado either. Not to mention our overall record while he was raking in highly ranked classes here the past decade.

I think Brian Kelly could to well there. Probably not well enough to really contend with Oklahoma or Texas, but maybe occasionally at least meet them in the title game.

Fulmer didn't lose, We Won

It was the game of the living DEAD coach's... Both Phil Fulmer and Joe Glenn were already fired before the game started.

I like CPF but he would get winded just walking up the stairs in Colorado with the altitude. No way.:bad:

I think Colorado would be a great choice for Foulmer......but I don't think Foulmore is a great choice for Colorado.........:eek:lol:

Kelly can write his own ticket at this point. If his dream job doesn't come available, he's more than content to stomp through the Big East and end up in a succession of BCS games.

I think Kyle wittingham will be getting some offers soon. I don't see him staying at Utah.

To win at Colorado, you have to recruit Texas, California, or a mix of both. Kelly has zero ties either place. He'd be a disaster there.

I named him specifically because I think he can do alright without elite recruiting.

I like Kelly. Wouldn't have gone insane if he had been hired at UT. However, if you think he's going to dominate Schiano, Levitt, whoever Pitt hires when they realize Wannstedt is what he is and whoever West Virginia hires when they sober up and fire Stewart at a program that is the sixth most important in its own city, you're just wrong. He's good, he's nowhere near that good.

I think Florida is a better fit for Fulmer after Urban goes to ND next season haha.

That way at least we'll know we will beat Florida every year for a change.

I was surprised he didn't fill one of the vacancies last year. Colorado would do well to snatch him up.

In the Big 12 North, that will leave him losing to Bo Pellini's Nebraska and Gary Pinkel's Missouri nearly every year and, at best, playing Mark Mangino's Kansas even. That'll get you fired in four years at Colorado right now.

So he'll hire some assistants that have recruiting inroads in surrounding areas. That was Kiffin's strategy. Even as bad as Colorado is, I don't think competing in the Big 12 North is that tough of a proposition.

He didn't fill one of the vacancies last year for the same reason Bruce Pearl didn't go to Arizona. For all his behind the scenes lobbying, no AD was willing to risk their career on him.

Fulmer's more likely to go to a place like Louisville or maybe even Virginia if they keep losing to FCS teams.

I liked the Sarkisian hire, but I'm not so sure Dabo was a safer pick.

He doesn't have to be that good. He's more than content to sit back and let Ohio State fight it out with USC, Texas, Penn State, et al for the elite players while bringing in pretty much everyone else from the state of Ohio. Notre Dame used to get the best kids from Cincinnati with Ohio State getting the best non-Catholics; both now have to compete with UC. And with the ties getting stronger every passing year, they'll have their pick of one of the best cities for high school football in the country for years to come.

And if Pitt hasn't fired Wannstedt by this point, I have to seriously wonder if they're ever going to. He's like Bill Callahan meets Geraldo.
