Fulmer roast was a Who's Who of VFL's. Got to get a lot of autographs and exchange a few words with some of the greats. Jamal Lewis, Eric Ainge, Heath Shuler, Andy Kelly, Travis Stephens, McKenzie brothers, Terry Fair, Todd Kelly, Fred White, Anton Davis, Chad Clifton, Charles MacRae, Doug Matthews, Bruce Wilkerson, and others. The Roast had some great recruiting stories and behind the scenes coaching stories. Chief, Steve Caldwell and Doug Matthews had some funny stories. An almost 5 hour marathon of Vol memories topped with CPF stories and memories. A night to remember. Shout out to Travis Stephens who has an amazing nice outgoing persona
It's. He stood in front of autograph tables to shake hands and pose for photos. Wife LOVED. Meeting these Vols and sharing a laugh.

Was Coach Majors there?

No, but they made jokes about him losing his invitation. A video from Spurrier was shown and he ribbed CPF about kicking field goals when Gaffney made his phantom catch to beat us. Best chuckle of the night to me was when Kiffin was mentioned as a little chicken s&$@/$ coach.
Another CPF JOKE WAS 'what is the difference between a dollar and CPF? Answer: you always get 4 quarters out of a dollar.CPF laughed.

I'm sure there were. I'm sure the audience was filled with unappreciative D-Bags.

No where this thread can go without trying to find humor in the roast of Fulmer. Do you even know what a roast is. There is a Fulmer appreciation thread.:good!:

My favorite moment was Peyton's video message talking about Fulmer recruiting him during a home visit. His mother wanted to be assured Peyton wouldn't have to play Ole Miss if he went to UT. Fulmer said, "Olivia, I promise you Peyton will not play Ole Miss one time while he is at Tennessee." Peyton then said, "He wasn't lying. I had to play Ole Miss two times while I was at Tennessee." :eek:lol:

From what I've read, it was more of a toast than a roast.
There's almost always something funny about a proper roast, but toasts are quite lame by comparison.

I think to "roast" CPF...it would need to be held in Birmingham...

In Knoxville...it was most certainly gonna be a "toast"...

I have to wonder what all those folks in tuxes and suits thought about the crowd that was there before them and those leaving when they arrived. Fanboy was yesterday with tons of people dressed in costume. I got William Shatners and Nichelle Nicholls autographs on pictures by the way and had a pic snapped of me and Nicholls together. Awesome day.

In that case, it should have been billed as a toast, not as a roast. If I show up to a roast and there's no heat, I feel cheated.

Well, good thing you did not go then. The 900 plus attendance seemed to really enjoy it as witnessed by applause. They also announced the proceeds would serve 1 MILLION MEALS by 2nd harvest. Anyone else who was there know the final price the Manning autographed Super Bowl jersey went for?

The comic con people were on the other side of the building. Some oddly dressed hipster and his equally oddly dressed girlfriend came from comic con and it didnt take long for the officer to escort them out. The guy had some flimsy fedora looking hat and a deadpool backpack.
