Fulmer plans to coach again

Good post. I don't understand why it was seemingly ignored. Louisville does meet two key criteria that CPF is looking for: (1) a BCS program; (2) that is committed to competing for championships. IDK about NC contender, but Louisville should definitely be a Big East Conference championship contender with regularity and Louisville is committed to that. With CPF, Louisville could get a proven big program HC and probably at a reasonable price, due to CPF already getting paid such a big buyout. CPF and Louisville just might be a pretty good fit for each other, IMHO.
Would hiring Fulmer fire up the Louisville fanbase? Or name me a fanbase that would be fired up to hire Fulmer. It'sabout energy, buzz and potential boost in tix sales, concessions, etc... Which is part of the reason Fulmer was fired. Empty stadiums at the end of the season, no buzz, no energy...

I don't know how Louisville fans would respond. But I don't think the hiring decision is up to the fans. Usually the big $ donators/boosters, ADs and BOTs of universities have more to do with head coach hirings/firings than do the fanbases at large. Seems like some UT fans on Volnation think CPF is totally washed up as a HC. Maybe he is. But there is an old saying -- "One man's junk is another man's treasure."

I would love to see Fulmer at the helm of a school in the BE. If he's still got a little mojo left in him, could shake up the conference. I like watching some of the Big East teams play ball...namely Pitt and WVU.
