i keep forgetting how smart you good old boys are! sorry my mistake. since you guys are so worried about my spelling and such maybe you should volunteer to help out some of our male athletes since many of them cant read, write, or spell. dont worry about our female players though. i do believe pat's got that covered. lets see 100% graduation rate in 30 plus years. not bad for a worthless piece of crap coach is it?

What evidence do you have that supports that "many" of our male athletes can't read or write?

how many male athletes have to sit out every year at UT cause they cant pass the ACT? every year with each new recruting class we get we have to sit back and worry about who will be eligible to play in the fall because of his grades. name me the last female athlete at Tennessee who had that problem. most of the lady vols have 3.0, 4.0 grade averages. are you honestly going to sit there and tell me they dont have to practice hard. that Pat is easy on those girls? hop on over to the gym and see if Pat will let you practice with them awhile. it might change your attitude about female athletes.

When did I suggest the lady vols don't practice hard?

All I asked for was evidence that many male athletes at UT can't read or write. Apparently that was another of your ridiculous exaggerations about our men's programs.

I don't think the argument against Women's Athletics is if they are bright young ladies, or them not working hard. The argument is if there were not women's athletics would people even really notice or care for that matter. I'll watch the Lady Vols from time to time but eh just if I come across it. I don't go look up their schedule and make a mental note to watch. I've personally been to more UT baseball games that I have watched the Lady Vols on TV.

I want them to win but Women's basketball (to me) isn't that exciting in person or on TV. I'd rather watch UT Softball than basketball, at least you get to see some HR's and powerful pitching. If women's basketball wants to become bigger they need to lower the goals where the girls can hammer down some nasty dunks. I will get flammed for that but hey its how I feel. Without that dunk basketball isn't exciting.

how's it ridiculous? the way you are coming across is that you agree with some of these other assholes who dont give coach Summitt or the women's athletic department any credit at all. if you dont associate with them then its my bad. as far as the men's programs at UT we have had season tickets for over 40yrs. to the football games. ive been a vols fan my entire life. that has always included male and female sports. as long as they wear the orange and white im their number one fan. what pisses me off is some of the male chauvinist pigs on this thread that cant give the women's program the respect that it deserves. you can read back a few posts and see what im talking about.

r u people crazy def Pat all the way. she has 1 more. 100% grad rate. and has the best players and the best record. All the way PAT SUMMIT!:)
