There was a CPF rumor thread earlier saying that there was a rumor that CPF was going to be on Mike & Mike in the Morning. They just said he was going to be on ESPN's First Take later this morning for anyone who wants to watch. :eek:k:

GREAT SPORTS

Among the programs hosting Fulmer live are "Mike and Mike in the Morning" (approximately 9:40 a.m. Eastern), First Take (10:50 a.m.), The Herd on ESPN Radio (11:25 a.m.), ESPN.com chat (12:30 p.m.) and Tirico and Van Pelt on ESPN Radio (1:25 p.m.). Fulmer also is taping the Hotlist for ESPNews and College Football Live, both of which will air later in the afternoon.

Sorry I will miss it. I try not to miss the opportunity to hear our head coach speak.

No real tough questions there, just a lot of casual talk. Did like the fact he slammed a little on the Pac 10 and Big 10 for not playing a conf champ game.

Fulmer looked good, sounded good. No serious questions, talked about the passion of SEC fans, both good and bad, also talked about a college football playoff and Fulmer said if the Pac10 and Big10 would adopt a championship game it would essentially be a playoff.

Also talked about how tough the SEC is and the championship year and how big a surprise it was. I guarantee as the day wears on, Fulmer's questions won't be so easy.

However, this is a good thing for TN and Fulmer. Gets us some national attention that we haven't had (and deservingly so) in a while.

No mention of the subpoena.

The conversation revolved around his long coach tenure at Tennessee, and what it is like to coach in the SEC. He mentioned that while the expectations are high, he is glad they are high. He talked about the overwhelming strength of the conference. He said that relationships between other SEC coaches was stronger with some than others. He weighed in on the play off debate. He feels that all conferences should play a championship game, and that maybe a plus one game be added to settle any remaining controversies.

It was mainly an interview aimed at the SEC. There was a plug for the UCLA game as well, which will be on ESPN. I believe he is also going to be on 1st and 10 later.

Great to see Phil going on programs like this. Is he supposed to be on the Herd?

Nevermind just heard he will be on at 11:30.

I agree this is a very good thing for the school. Look what it has done for the bball program.
While I know Fulmer is no Pearl (he doesnt need to be) when it comes to media relations, he can more than handle himself. I think it helps with the image and recruiting as well.

The tease for CPF's First Take appearance mentioned Jon Crompton's taking over the offense...

Maybe these guys will actually ask about the season..
