Fulmer needs to do this to our staff.......

It's hard for many here to conceive, but one can actually believe that Fulmer is who is best for the Vols program. With such a belief, one can be both a Vols fan and a supporter of our Head Football Coach. I don't have to worry about the downside of winning games. Winning is all good. It's really simple.

What about the downside of losing?

Read around, Justin. People post here about the negatives of Cutcliffe ever coming to UT because that helped us win more games therefore prolonging Fulmer's tenure as HC. It's that ridiculous here.

It's late. You guys continue. This gets too repetive after a while.

I've seen very few of those posts here.

but it's a good thing we have you as the voice of reason to keep us all open minded about the program. I've never seen anyone who has such faculty with both viewpoints of the program.

Oh well... that comes with being a Vols fan. We don't win them all like CUM does. Oh, I guess you can only pull for him when he plays certain coaches in certain locations siince he's racking up some losses as well.

Imagine the relief the Dawg fans who went 0-9 against Fulmer with Cutcliffe must feel tonight. Of course, they're just losers if they still pull for the Dawgs, so maybe they just gave up after the first 3 seasons as you suggest one should.

Urban is really racking up losses. He has as many losses in two years as Phil has this year. Or last year. He's also already go two titles. Just one more to catch old Phil.

They decided to hire a new coach, who promptly beat the Vols three straight times and won 2 SEC titles.

This year:
CUM had 3 SEC losses. CPF had 2 SEC losses. That's why our last game was in the SEC CG. We lost in the championship game, so I suppose that makes CUM better. Better not to play than to play and lose, right? Why field a team then? Some universities who never have do talk about being 'undefeated.'

CUM lost 3 SEC games two years ago as well.

He is NOWHERE near as dominant over the conference as Spurrier was. Fulmer eventually beat Spurrier. I believe he will beat CUM as well as CUM has shown he is far more prone to losing than was CSS. That's 'realistic' as it is fact-based.

More evidence that Fulmer can recover against these hot shot new coaches... because, well, you tell me, what happened next for CMR?

CUM had 3 SEC losses. CPF had 2 SEC losses.

Florida's losses were to three good SEC teams: UGA, Auburn, and LSU.

UT also lost to LSU, lost huge to Florida, and also got beat big by a bad Bama team. Which three losses look better?

If you flip the schedules around, I believe Florida would have been representing the East.

CPF is the 'Dean of SEC Coaches' for a damn good reason. He beats all these young up and coming guys you all foam at the mouth to hire.

What about flipping and inverting? What if it had rained? What if a toronado struck... oh well.. you know.

As CPF puts it, let's not deal with the "what if'" and stick with the "what is." THe UT Vols and NOT the UF Gators won the division. That's what is.

well, we beat him only to have our asses handed to us by someone else. See, the someone else is the problem. You want to continue isolating teams over time against UT / CPF, but that doesn't make sense, when you generally have to beat them all in a single season to take the cake.

Someone else has almost unfailingly been out there for CPF, whether they were the better team or not. Most years it's been several someone elses.

Oh man. So one year after the Gators won the SEC and the Nation, UT gets drilled by the Gators and because we played an easier schedule we backdoor our way into the SEC championship only to get beaten by a team riddled with injuries. Yep, Coach Fulmer sure is getting the best of Urban Meyer.

Also, along the way in that magical journey we managed to lose to two teams that are 6-6.

Yep...
Isolate 1998 (first UT NC in 47 years)
Isolate Florida's own CSS.
Isolate Georgia's own CMR.
Isolate Bammer's own too many initials with all that turnover.
Isolate whoever you'd like.
:machgun:CUM is the next guy in CPF's sights.

Yeah. What was Fulmer's record against the Visor at Florida? Doesn't Fulmer still have a losing record to Richt?

is that a response? you were correct in isolating 1998, because that's the one time he got it done.

All the other is just a waste of space.

exactly. the administration has let him rest on the laurels of his NC for far too long.

These up and comers have amazingly good records against the "dean" for him to be treating them as you suggest.

What's all the love with Marrone?

You think Cutcliffe's system was to hard to understand? The Saints system is ridiclious. Given it might be more Sean Payton than Marrone but personally not a huge fan of the Saints and their play calling.
