I read somewhere this week that Fulmer was going to be at the game. Anyone know if he showed? I would like to hear his comments after the game.

He was definitely there. A buddy of mine sent out a text that he rode the elevator with Fulmer before the game. He said that it was very awkward. All the fans were telling Fulmer that they missed him, etc. He said Fulmer looked sad.

they ran out of hotdogs at the concession stands yesterday ( no joke ) , so I'm assuming he was....

I know, I know, it was classless, but hey, it was there for the taking.... I hope he was there, as much vitriol that has been spewed from people, it's time to let go and let him have his place in Tennessee history, plus he did love the University

Regarding Fulmer being athletic director. Won't happen! The good ol' boy system is over in this regard. AD's have to be like GM's in pro sports now. They need to be highly educated with business back grounds. It's not like it used to be. Fulmer couldn't manage his own team. How's he going to manage all sports at UT?

He was the best at tearing down the football program. You want him to mess up every sport on The Hill?

Your right

I HATE FULMER I HATE HIM I HATE HIM I HATE HIM

I am apologizing to VN for my transgressions. Please forgive me

He needs to stay far away from anything Tennessee football related. They'll be cleaning up his mess for a few more years already.

I wonder what was running through his mind when Crompton threw that TD pass to Stocker...and then that one to Warren...and then that one to Hancock...It may not have taken that long that he said in his normal Fulmer tone "What happened? Why couldn't we have done that last year?" I wish him the best of luck but I am glad Lane and Co. are here now! GO VOLS!

Change came in a most positive way. You could sense the change even on the tube. I never saw LK clap after a play. Only smile or some other positive reaction for good places and worry when mistakes were made. The first quarter was a little worrisome, but after that it was wonderful. Where have those players been all this time? I know we played a lot of freshment, but other came up who we had not seen before. When will people just let Phil retire to the fishing pond, rock his grandchildren, and come to games as one of us if he so desires....Did any of you see Haynesworth's boat in the marina? SOMETHING. He bought a boat and Peyton game the University another million for student athletes

As much as I like CPF, I wouldn't say hes been a class act thus far, though I did expect him to be. Some of the comments hes made about him having 150 wins and Kiffin having 5 came off pretty bitter. The Fulmer I know would have gone and congradulated Kiffin after the game, I don't know if he did but I doubt it.

Honestly we wanted to let him down with as much respect as possible, give him statue name some more things after him etc. We wanted to make him that type of guy lke a Tom Osborne, but he just wouldn't let it happen. I would have still liked for him to be around and involved with the team and university but its obvious he is still in denial and too stubborn to do that even after Kiffin reached out to him. I know a lot of the players would still love to have the old coach around the team too. Its pretty hypocritical the way Fulmer has snubbed Kiffin and our program recently, given the way Majors was ousted and CPF got the job in the first place. Not that it was Fulmer's fault or did anything wrong when hired but that should have learned something from that, and he obviously didn't. It might be a good while before he ever becomes our AD. Hopefully time will help heal.

screw everybody on here who is downgrading fulmer. If it were not for philip fulmer than Tennessee and Mike Hamilton wouldn't even have the ability to hire an all-star staff like we have now. He did more for tennessee football than anyone else could ever do.
