I made a very similar point in another post. The TE hire was a total waste. Fulmer should have hired a ST coach just to shut up his critics. He's either really that thick or unbelievably stubborn.

I think the other contributor to this season's wreck was the total lack of chemistry with the O coaches. Fulmer hired a RB coach, then the TE coach, retained the useless Adkins, then hired a OC and allowed him to bring just one coach who new and could teach his scheme.

Than on top of that it appears that Fulmer didn't actually let him run the show as he dictated Crompton and involved himself in the play calling and probably inserted some of his old playbook into the mix as well. No wonder these kids look lost. :jpshakehead:

I wouldnt exactly call our defense "stellar" by any means. I would say they have played better than our offense but that really isnt saying much now is it?

It's been said Fulmer changed 30% of the plays Clawson called. It's been said Crompton was changing his playcalls at UCLA & Clawson wanted to pull him but Fulmer would not let him. It was just said in the paper (I know I know but still) that this offense looks nothing like Clawson's and very much identical to Fulmer's.

If I gave you a job....let's say truck driver.....& own a trucking company....then drove your truck 30% of the time, running over women and children along the way....then I look back at the year and say "hey, you're title is truck driver". Would that be accurrate tot he ability of you being a truck driver. Should you lose your DOT license? I know nothing about trucking but this is pretty much the same thing that happened to Sanders...he got thrown under the bus once only to have Cut save Phil's butt again......now some of you want to point your finger at Clawson. You really need to realize the guy with the headset on the sidelines is to blame.

& don't say I hate Fulmer! Nothing could be further from the truth. I've met him several times and always found him very nice. I was at the National Championship game and saw the pride on his face in your avatar pic, so please don't tell me who I do & do not hate. Thanks.

AAAHH. Wrong, thank you for playing. Had Clawson been allowed to do his job our offense would been a HELL of a lot better than what we have seen and Fulmer would not have been removed as HC.

Using your logic App State would not have beaten Michigan last year.

Something else to think about Clawson's former team W/ his players are in the top 10 in "D-2".
