I know it makes sense because he hired Pruitt, but it's still a little weird to me to read Fulmer actually admit he's pulling for Bama. I feel like I'm in the bizarro world.

Then again, it's strange for me to admit I'm pulling for Bama, which I am. Not so much because of Pruitt, but because the last thing I want to see is Georgia winning a championship.

I figure one more at Alabama doesn't mean much anyway. They already have more than I can count.

I want Pruitt to shut UGA da *** down. If he shows that he can beat UGA once, he will be able to beat them yearly from here on out. It makes sense. I would rather for UGA to go back to the shadows of existence.

to me, this is like last year's super bowl. ugh. nothing good really comes of either of these teams winning.

lesser of two evils....if Bama wins, it's just the status quo, Bama's still great....yada yada yada.

if Georgia wins, they dethroned the giant. i think that would have bigger ripples than Bama winning.

i don't think there's really anything that "helps" TN either way, except to be able to say that our hc won another NT....it's a selling point. that's it, and i get that.

I totally agree, Bizzaro. Never would have seen this coming back in the day! Bet cha some Bammers are actually hating it tho, long memories. It really does have a sardonic flair.

The worst possible thing I can imaging happening is Georgia winning a championship. If Bama wins another one, so what?

Agreed. We have many more head to head recruiting battles with Georgia than we do Alabama. Alabama has won 4 National Championships since 2009. What's one more?

I love how everybody is misrepresenting his statement, he never said he is pulling for bama. He is quoted as saying he is pulling for Jeremy to win it, meaning he wants his coach to succeed, not that he wants bama to succeed, bama could succeed without pruitt being super successful in that game, although i dont expect him to look bad.

I want them both to lose.

I wanted us to beat them both.

It don't hurt to want.

I can't wait for Sept 1st.

Wash some of this 4-8 dirt off us.

Go Vols!

Pruitt coaches for Bama, when he says he's pulling for Pruitt to win, he's pulling for Bama.

Like I said originally, I understand the reasoning. The whole scenario still just feels weird to me.

Unnatural is the word.

The only time I've ever wanted the gumps to win was against the gators back in 07.

I want them both to lose.

Fulmer would have sold his kids to get and succeed at this AD job.

Sadly, I agree here. I will pull for Bama.

Their success is nothing new, having UGA win would not be nearly as tolerable.

I'm a tater digger.....

Bama wins - the new HC of TN wins another NC, media reaction...bama doing bama....

GA wins- The new HC of TN lost the NC....media has fresh blood runs the GA narrative into the ground....GA is in the east, we need them to loose.

Can’t do it

Me neither. I understand the theory from both sides, but I just can't pull for Bama. EVER. I hope Georgia wins 3-0, but I'd be fine with it if Georgia won 50-0 (yes, I know, not going to happen). What's another NC for Bama? It's ANOTHER NC for Bama that I have to hear about for another year (or more).

Can't do it.

It won't prove anything. Bama's athletes are ions better than ours.
