Fulmer:'A lot on my mind...'

I hate it for the guy. But when you are making millions, that kind of stress comes with the territory. I think he could ease his pain by announcing now that he is leaving at year's end. For some reason, I think this could get very "Major's like" ugly!

i know he's brought this on himself, but i feel bad for the guy. i just hope he does the right thing and bows out in a classy way.

I truly hate this for Coach Fulmer, I hate to see him so beat down and bewildered. I honestly think that he will retire effective end of the year. I think if he does retire:
NOW is the time. We cannot allow others programs to get a bigger head start on shopping coaches. I want him to finish the year w/ good wins to go out on and be treated w/ class and respect.

I respect the man but don't you think he asked for this?

His comments at half-time were so weird - he looked psuedo-giddy and made comments like we're in this and things are going well. He really is lost right now.

I really think at halftime he probably felt pretty good. We should have been down 13-10 going in and that wouldn't have been terrible (maybe even ahead if we convert on their fumbled punt)

He could have gone out after the bowl game last year.....He made his choice to go down this road.

He looks sad, unhappy, and unhealthy. I just hope the last 4-5 years haven't hurt his health.

I didn't feel good - we were hanging on by the skin of our teeth. I can't imagine his attitude translated into a motivating half-time speech either.

You should have seen him say it.

I respect CPF and all he's done. I don't feel too bad about it because either way he's going to make it out of here with millions of dollars to his name.

He deserves a lot more respect from people than he gets IMO. I will not be cracking fat jokes but it's time for him to step down.

He just looked defeated, beat down and tired.
:thumbsup::thumbsup:

i thought this quote from the article said a lot:

The critics will look at the 36 rushing yards against the Tide, coupled with the 1 lone yard against Georgia and think that a 16-year head coach who not only played on the offensive line but also coached it should not only run the ball better but also know where his running game’s gone if it’s disappeared.

I don't hate CPF. but it's past time. i figured that with this game, #2 coming in that we might come out and play this "we have nothing to lose" attitude and the game might get called tha way too......boy was i wrong.

tht game was called and game planned for like we were playing for something bigger than.......just the game itself. that was disappointing. my first reaction to the first punt was.....we're done. it told me that he had no faith in the offense whatsoever.

put the defense on the field and hope for the best.

i watched the press conference after the game last night. I agree with you JG.......he looked as bad as it sounded.

Briscoe scored a TD on one Saturday too

Oh yeah? Oh well, I must have missed that. You know, since the game was already in hand and all...

I'm just saying, why is it that we hardly ever use the screen on important plays, especially since our running game couldn't get off the ground. Oh, and the Berry screen was one of the stupidest calls I've ever seen. Everyone in the stadium knew he was getting the ball, including the defense. He got stuffed on ONE play, and they took him out. Hell Reggie Bush couldn't have scored on that play.

You should pay attention before you look stupid again.

See third down against UF this season.

It's really sad to see Fulmer end his career this way. He has bled Orange for a long time. I hope that when the smoke clears, UT fans give him the repsct he deserves. Once a change is made all that has been wrong the last 10 years pails to what he has done for our University. Thanks Phil, in advance.
