I was just curious as to who we have after Fugate? It does not seem Dooley is recruiting Fullbacks; will this be a position he uses after Fugate is gone?

I think if Fugate can do good things as a fullback in terms of running/pass catching we should look to use him and look to find an appropriate replacement for the future. Unfortunatly most collage fullbacks are just for blocking purposes...

I read the dooley likes 2 TE sets...and I do not see many other schools using FB's on a regular basis any more either. Seems like a position that is kind of getting phased out in football as a whole.

Some may disagree...but cross and hill are both 220lb. I wouldn't be surprised if one moved to fullback especially if rb gets crowded later down the road

When hill committed, fb was the first thing that came to my mind.

Also the walk on Austin Taylor out of Crockett County was moved from LB to FB according to his sister... FWIW

I don't know where he fits in the depth cart though

Bartholomew is the backup. There are three or four walk-ons too.
Alden Hill will be a FB FWIH

There really isn't any depth there. It's Fugate or bust.

No it isn't. We got:

Scott Bubis FB 6-0 235 SO Nashville (Mississippi)

Austin Bolen FB 5-11 206 RS FR Knoxville (Farragut)

Austin Taylor FB 6-2 240 FR Alamo (Crockett County)

and in a real pinch, Ben Bartholomew who actually has experience and practice time as a FB.

Scott Bubis is rumored to be a weight room beast according to some guys on the team he is in the top tier in terms of pure strength in power clean and squat. Also his freshman season he played at Ole Miss... TIFWIW the kid could end up seeing quality minutes if something were to happen to Fugate or on special teams possibly he's got a nasty streak to him
