Basketball has definitely grown in popularity, but I don't think it's going to overtake football. That being said, for "average" games - I get more pumped about basketball these days. It's more fun to watch as regards to our style of play imo. BUt I don't think you can beat the atmosphere of a big game FOOTBALL Saturday.

I've never been a basketball fan. I enjoy watching the Vols succeed, but it's really just a filler between football seasons for me.

Krispy's federation keeps me busy until November... Then I get to actually see player development, beating Florida, finishing at the top or near the top of the SEC next year, coaching adjustments, and finally, discipline.

The reality is that the football program is less important since we have a winner at TBA if for no other reason that spring practice no longer dominates the March sports page. However, that being said, Tennessee is a football school and will always be one....knowing that keeps my hope for a new revelant coach alive.
