"We are not getting good play at quarterback," he said. "We are not getting good play at receiver. We are not getting good play at tight end, and we are not getting very good play on the offensive line. We are not getting as good of play as we were at running back. "That should tell you something."

I'd spend less time paying attention to coach gibberish during spring ball, if I were you.

Since this is such a common, tried and true motivational technique, please cut and paste for me all the quotes of Mike Bobo, Spurrier and Dan Mullen saying that all aspects of their offense are bad.
Not going to waste that kind of time, but Spurrier has publicly railed his teams forever. Not sure if Bob or Mullen has. NFL coaches do it on a daily basis because players with large egos tend to have rabbit ears. It ain't new.

I was only providing evidence of another coach, playing down the abilities of his team

Yeah. I agree that a lot of coaches do it. I think what concerns me a little is that the staff has to know that with EA's knee, the 3 starting recievers gone, no OL standouts, and no go-to RB that us fans are particularly edgy about the offense. Then Cut pretty much comes out and confirms all the worst fears. At least give us something to pin a hope on.

Of course, it is early and there will be a few new faces on campus in the fall who may be able to contribute right away.

There is also a ton of players that are hampering injuries right now(specifically on the OL). If he is saying this a couple weeks before the Cal game, we are in trouble for sure.

Cut's a perfectionists, so the offense isn't going to meet his standards right off the bat anyway

At least we have identified the problems. Got a lot of time to fix them. That is what leadership and coaching is all about. I would hope in spring practice we would be awful so that we can build on it.

They will be ready. If we look back from August to this date and its not fixed then someone should be fired. To know of a problem and not adapt or fix is mediocare coaching and that is not the case here

I don't mind a total criticism of an offense. We are replacing some key O-linemen, and the ones we had last year couldn't run block at all. We return no receivers with any previous production. Crompton has proven very little and Stephens is green. Chris Brown has been a good contributor, but the Cottams have not done crap, ever. Make them work like hell to get better for the next week.

Remember when spring practice was filled with talk of SEC Champi..errrrrrr....National Championship? That didn't turn out so good, did it?

Is it supposed to be shocking that after losing the top 3 receivers and the starting QB to injury that the offense looks disjointed in March?

I think Cut and Fulmer are fair in their criticisms.

They give praise where they think it is deserved and criticism where it is needed. If Cut is criticizing every unit on the offense, I don't think it was without good cause.

I'm not surprised the Oline, WR, and QB are not playing well. Lot of new players in those positions with Ainge out. The only position I'm disappointed in is TE, that was suppose to be a strength.

If I remember last year, Cut was pretty critical of the offense and they got a lot better though not where anyone wanted them to get to.

Hard to call the whole offense playing bad as identifying the problems.

It's hard to be glad that you have identified the problems when the problem is the whole offense.

Maybe the QB's and receivers that had to run the stadium steps after practice could tell us if they think Coach Cutcliff is serious.
