From an AD perspective

We didn’t let a blue blood steal our coach. Maybe Barnes is worth $5 mil and maybe he isn’t. But we stood our ground and kept our guy. Other teams think our coach is worth more than he is making here and we kept him. That’s a win and a statement that might not have happened under other athletic directors. I’m a Fulmer fan. He won. Bravo. Go VOLS!

Hey! We want to be a "big boy school in sports". To do that you have to spend money. Numbers have shown we have money and fan bases. We now have a guy in Fulmer who not only is a "sports person", but has business experience. He knows that in most cases you have to spend money to make money, then work like HECK.

I was a Fulmer fan until he started losing in the early and mid 2000's. I was ready for a change, when it happened.

I never thought it was a good idea to bring him back as AD. I thought it was just a bunch of silly homers, wanting him back. I was way wrong.

I was never not a Fulmer fan, but I am all the way back in his corner now. He has proven himself to me.
