Just wanted to tell you guys don't listen to the media when they tell you that Alabama has an incredible defense and slaughtered the Arkansas passing game. We had 400 yards passing and had wide open receivers all game. Austin Allen was under pressure all game AND STILL got 400 YARDS PASSING. No joke, this Alabama Secondary is really bad. Don't be fooled by the 3 INTs. That was from ONE guy, and if your coach is smart, he never passes it near where that guy is. He is the only player on the Bama defense that actually, you know, knows how to cover a reciever. Since our coach is a DUMBASS he kept passing it to where he was. If he doesn't, we wouldn't have the 3 INTs or pick sixes that totally changed the game. The 49-30 score only tells so much. They had 2 defensive touchdowns. Take those out...35-30? Just saying, Arkansas tore up Alabama on defense with passing, so just wanted to point out that the biased media who hates Arkansas is only telling you so much, there is a weakness that UT should and WILL expose this Saturday.

Vols will beat the horrible Alabama secondary with 400+ passing yards and a spank that ass 35 points to win 35-31.

Hope you're right. I have to say, I've never had a bad experience with an Arkansas fan. Y'all are good people for the most part. Lol

Has your QB gotten out of the ice tub yet? Hogville was fearing for his life.

The media spins the gumps to exaggerate how "amazing" they are. Always have, always will. Glad to see it's not just Vol fans who recognize that. :hi:

He's right, Ole Miss did the same thing to them. If Dobbs is on like he has been at different times in the last three games, and doesn't throw the ball to them, and we don't fumble the game away like we did last week, we can, and will win this game! Then, we will be right back in the playoff picture!

While it's certainly true that Bama's secondary had a poor showing, I think a lot of it was mental. Yes, Allen put up 400 passing yards, but 300 of those came after Bama was already up by 3 TDs. And Bama's secondary still managed 3 interceptions. While the mental lapses were frustrating, I don't believe that there is any reason to think they'll become a trend.

Not really. Arkansas had guys running open because of coverage busts. Except for one long touchdown, Ole Miss got their yards because their receivers made amazing plays despite excellent coverage. Ole Miss' receivers were superhuman in that game.

It isn't Alabama's entire defense that is suspect. It is their secondary, and unfortunately Dobbs is not a consistent downfield passer.

Dobbs will still get pressured and it will likely be difficult for Tennessee to consistently run the ball.

Just hold on to the ball. Derek Barnett and Co. will get to Mr. Hurts. They did last year against a less talented Bama Oline. I think we will see what Hurts can do after he gets knocked down a few times. Bama hasn't faced a pass rush the caliber of UT's and hasn't played a pass rusher any where close to the level of Barnett.

UT has guys capable of making those plays, but they are not consistent enough.

Gotta get Dobbs more involved in running the ball this game. He only had like 20 yds rushing last year. That is probably net, though and we gave up like 5 sacks. FWIW, we had 2 turnovers (1 FF and 1 INT).

EVen though it isn't Dobbs' forte, I think that we have to take a few shots down field just to keep them from creeping up too much and selling out on the run. Those wheel routes to Kamara work nicely too. With the risk of sounding overconfident I don't think that they've played on offense like ours yet.
