Friends in low places

I understand the "Doesn't matter" crowd. However, if we are going to have a end of 3rd quarter song, I would think there should be some type of Tennessee connection OR something very fast paced/uplifting.

My music is grounded in the 70's, but when my kids would play this song, I think I liked it more than they did, at least for getting fired up about something. Can you imagine if they had played this for the Alabama game?

This could work. Better than Copperhead Road.

Tennessee Jed by Grateful Dead (which I mention every year) isn't as whimsical as Dixieland Delight, but you want to talk about 100K singing that chorus? Let's go.
They played Tennessee Jed between the third and fourth quarters for about three years in the late 2000s, and I don’t recall anyone ever singing along.

I agree - it's time to move on from Garth and Low Places.
I also agree - unless you do some heavy editing, Copperhead Road isn't it either. Also, after all that editing will the fans even know what to sing and when?

I kind of like the Tennessee River idea.
If you use the Alabama version, might want to think about cutting about 15 seconds off the intro and amping up the bass and guitar hits to get the crowd riled up.

Other options to consider:
You shook me all night long (could cut off somewhere in the middle, like after 2nd chorus since most folks don't know the entire song)
Sweet Caroline (although it takes a minute to get to the juicy part and it's kind of long and monotonous after a bit too)
Viva La Vida by Coldplay might be cool (only know this from attending a local hockey game where it was played and the crowd really got into it)
Don't Stop Believin (again may have to edit after the first or second chorus)
We will Rock You (might get fuzzy when it comes to the 'rap' portion)
They moved on from Garth Brooks last year.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with that dreadful Morgan Wallen song until he does something stupid again, which is inevitable if you’ve ever spent any time around him. His music is almost as awful as he is as a human being.
