Friday weigh in thread (suns out guns out challenge 8/30/24)

Turn 60 on Dec. 31. “160 by 60”. Twelve pounds to go in 28 days. Doable, but I’m going to have to increase the exercise levels. I will not lose it by eating insufficient calories, it’s just not a healthy way to do it.
If I don’t make it to 160 by 12/31 then I’ll just change my catchphrase to “160’s by 60”. I’m almost there. 🤓

Thanks! I'm pretty proud of myself. Your mind can be a powerful thing if you control it. Once I was able to block out all the bad cravings and ignore them (took about 2-3 weeks, those first couple weeks were awful lol) it honestly just became habit. Just know your body's limits. I was on a low mostly protein based diet for the first 3 months or so. Plus I had a simple exercise goal of 5 miles a day of fast paced walking. Honestly didn't do that much jogging at all. Weight melted off. Now I'm starting to eat closer to a normal diet to see if I can maintain weight. I'm happy being in the 160s moving forward.

I reached my goal of being in the mid 170s before my vacation (which starts tomorrow). I hope I don’t gain too much weight over the holidays. I am definitely going to be having a few egg nogs, yorkshire pudding, and Lindt Lindors. The key is savoring small portions. If I’m still under 180 after the holidays, I’ll consider that a win.
