I think our basketball team is going to be scary good next year and I can hardly wait to see them step back on the hardwood in the Fall. With that said, of the many things I'd like to see this team improve upon, I would have to say free throw shooting is at the top of my list. How many of the games we lost could have been won if we'd only shot 10% better from the line? I haven't done the research, but I'm sure it's a fair number of games -- including a few crucial ones.

So, my question is this ... how do we get Duke, Wayne, Ramar, Jajuan, and Chill to step it up when they step to the line? If I thought it would help, I'd be willing to commit one hour a week to rebound for those jokers.

On a side note, I'd love to see Duke Crews go to the "Ron Slay School of Basketball" this summer.

As I've said before, Duke, Ramar, Jujuan, and Lofton all rededicated themselves to FTs through the year and it showed. Chill and Chism need to follow. Ramar needs to stay consistent for the most part. The rest(save Lofton) just need to work everyday on it.

O and for your other question, we would have beaten Vandy, OSU(both games), Auburn, and LSU. That would have put us at 29-6 and playing Memphis in the Elite 8. The other losses were Butler(early season woes), UNC(see Butler), Ole Miss(fell apart without Lofton), Kentucky(see Ole Miss), Florida(see Kentucky), and South Carolina(complete meltdown).

Thanks! I was too lazy to do the work :) And this is pure speculation, but I think we could have been playing Florida again tomorrow night given that scenario. If only ... haha ...

That's crazy to think about, but it was within our reach! Go Vols ... practice those damn FTs! :)

Yeah, amazing how something like FTs could be the difference between a solid 24-11 Sweet 16 season and a 31-6 season with the NCG coming up.

I think we would have beaten Memphis but lost to GU. Hibbert, Green, Ewing, etc would have been too much inside.

UT vs. Georgetown would be an interesting game. I have only watched Georgetown once this year (yesterday), but their style is way different than UT's. It would be interesting to see how UT's run-and-gun-3-pointer style would work against Georgetown.
