Free MS Points?

I logged into Live today & had a message from Xbox Live.

It said that since they're discontinuing the Live service for Xbox originals they're giving me 400 free MS points for being a valued customer...(it came with a code)

... but everyone I've talked to have said they didn't receive this. What's the deal? Am I just cooler than everyone else?

I would be leary of it, and maybe contact microsoft and ask if it is legit. I know of a handful of people who have had their accounts stolen with things that sound like that. It probrably is on the up and up, but it might be worth it to check
