Nice writeup Freak. I wish I had seen it before I got off the phone with Chuck. We talked a little TN basketball, and he wanted to know about Ramar, but I had nothing to tell. Interesting analysis. I like the sound of Chism playing solid D. Something we couldn't do last year was stop the other team from scoring inside the paint from their halfcourt set.

The rest was nice as well. Always good to get a dig at the gators the week of the game. :)

Great stuff Freak and I totally agree. This game is about us not the gators. We will find out what type of team we have Sat.

I want to see Ainge become a Field General Saturday. I have a good feeling I will.

I didn't remember there being an official UT release about the booing.

I remember the letter from Fulmer about how great the crowd was, but I don't remember him mentioning not booing Air Force.

Does anyone have a link to that "official release"?

Good read. Thanks. Can't wait to see next weeks write up about Vols-Gators and how Ainge held it together, running game was great, Defense woke back up and special teams performed again.

O2, I can't find it now. I think it was originall mentioned by the News Sentinel but this is all I could find now:

Fulmer said he hadn't heard about the UT athletic department requesting fans to not "boo" the service academy, but he expects the fans to be on the side of the team in orange.

You nailed the Cal analysis - let's hope you're right on with the Florida one as well.

While last year is last year, it is interesting how similar the UF approach (in terms of performance non-conference) is. In hindsight, UT was bad last year. The game was at the Swamp. We repeatedly gave them the ball in our territory yet only surrendered 16 points.

I suppose if it comes from the athletic department I consider that an official realease. It was OFFICIAL, but maybe there was no real RELEASE. :lolabove:

Seriously, I just found it odd that was coming out of the athletic department.

Thanks for the good info, as usual. It sounds like Ramar is gonna have to pick it up a little on the offensive end. Or someone needs to, so our opponents can't concentrate so much on Lofton. I guess we really need for Chism and/or Crews to be a scoring threat inside to open up the outside more. Anyway, the talk about Chism on the defensive end sounds good, though.

GO VOLS!! Beat the gators.

It's probably not fair of me if I implied that he won't be an offensive threat this season. He just got here and will settle into his game by the time the season starts. He should be able to score by penetrating to the basket, using his athleticism. I'm just not sure he is as good from 3 point range as Jordan.

With the way Freak just put a knife in my back to not make LIO mad, I almost decided to not pimp his latest blog entries... but they are FAR too funny to not read. Read them!!! The last few are HILARIOUS. :)

hehe I'm just playing. The blog posts really are great though! I love the pics of the UF lovers in jorts. Anyone that tries to tell you those are photoshopped is fooling themselves. :lol:
