Freak used the Hot Recruiting News thread to post something besides a commitment or decommitment. I agree with the choice. I think that the thread is currently being underutilized.

I am for posting all things noteworthy in that thread. For instance: stats, announcement days, leans, leaders, injuries, class rank changes, etc. If it's new and interesting, I think it goes there. Just my 2 cents.

That's how it was originally intended, but I think the twitter thread kind of stopped people from using it. Most of the information was just being duplicated in those threads.

I think it does need to be used more.... Big games by recruits, big statements by recruits regarding the vols, announcement decision info, etc

Use to be used to post all updates on commits and targets on subscribed sites..

I prefer commits and decomits only. I get too excited everytime I see a new post in there.

First I posted Eric Berry's picture in a commitment article about his brothers, now this. :)

The Hot News thread was typically just a launching pad for any pertinent news in player threads, like WKY posted. But I'm open for discussion.

Pearson's stats were pretty impressive this weekend and I thought it was newsworthy. Over 200 yards receiving is incredible, amirite?

What's the point of just using that thread for commits? Aren't they going to have like three new threads within two minutes anyway?
