Virginia Tech Coach Frank Beamer and Lane Kiffin are scheduled to compete in the NASCAR Legends race at Bristol Motor Speedway later this month. The race features Legendary drivers such as Junior Johnson and Darrell Waltrip teamed with celebrities in a 50 lap event.

Beamer says he figures his early driving experience around the mountainous Fancy Gap, Va area will give him the advantage over Kiffin.

not to rehash an old thread, but i wish they would forget about racing between kiffin/beamer, ut/vt, and just schedule a football game at bristol.

Having had life long experience with the Fries/Galax area, I would agree that if you can drive those roads fast and keep the car between the ditches, you have earned the Junior Johnson special edition NASCAR certification.

Kiff told me he will lap everyone in the race and finish early so he can have a hotdog while cheering on Beamer as he finishes.

Someone needs to keep an eye on Orgeron and CLK's brake lines!

Even I would think that Lane Kiffin would have more class than to get involved with something like this.

This event should prove to be interesting. I agree with a previous post, it would be awesome to see ceo as the jack/gas man though.
