Foxsports Predicts a UCLA Upset?!

If people (media) think UCLA is a test for us, they are sipping the Blue Kool-Aid. UCLA is a team run by goofs, they out-coached Phil's staff, whoopty doo. No way this is as close as "the experts" think.

Anyone who brings up UCLA's win over us last year is a fool. Anyone who thinks this is the same team needs to see the performance of JC vs Wyoming, then look at last week. Forget the numbers, look at the little things like looking off receivers and the body language.

That is all.

UCLA is run by goofs and I am a fool. Alright.

Hi all. New member but I've been checking this site occasionally for a year now. Been a Vols fan since 1967. Family has had 8 season-tix since 1963. Big-time Vols family.

After reading the pre-game posts in this thread, I had to register and post something.

All you people who chalked this game up as a W beforehand, those of you who laughed at the Fox predictions (and I am no Fox fan), those of you who laughed at UCLA coming here...you make me cringe. The kind of attitude you showed before the game is the same attitude shown by some of our players who did not take this game seriously enough to get the job done. In many ways, the attitudes of the players reflect the attitudes of the fans. For this reason, I can say that if the Volnation fanbase feels this way about UCLA, then you share as much blame for this game as the coaches and players. Anybody that comes in to Neyland to play the Vols can win against us. That has been proven over and over and over again. As long as you fail to remember that, the upsets will continue to come until we all learn to take our opponents seriously.

I wonder why we took W Kentucky seriously but not UCLA. Seems a bit odd, don't you think? Predicting such lopsided wins reflects badly on you and on other Vols fans. Take every opponent seriously from now on and quit the useless trash talking because the players are listening to you, believe it or not. If you want to help the team win, tell them the visiting opponent is dangerous, even if it is Wyoming. This is especially important when the team is made up of so many underclassmen who have yet to learn the lessons necessary to keep them sharp week after week. Many of these young players are online every night, on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and yes, Volnation. The coaches try to keep them off of this site for good reason, but it is too tempting. They see what you are saying and they hear your messages loud and clear. When you whisper in their ears that the game is already won, they no longer feel the need to play.

A Vol in Sweden.
