Arian Foster=Eddie George in the bad years for the Titans.

I may get roasted for this one. It's late, I am upset, maybe I'm not thinking straight, but my drunk brother agreed with me so I am throwing it out there for the wolves. Do with it what you wish.

He just wants to juke too much instead of run over people. He can't stay in bounds. Runs E/W instead of N/S.

HOWEVER

I don't know how much of it is coaching. I see a lot of TN's runningbacks do the exact same things. I just seems like they get coached to do that.

that comparison sounds somewhat reasonable. what's even more sad is that foster isn't old like eddie george was. and eddie g. didn't fumble.

their strides look similar. like they're trying to run upstream in a river. feet don't get very far up off the ground, easy to trip up, especially when hitting the hole, which foster needs some work on. too much dancing around in the backfield today.

Needs to play a different role for us.Like spelling coker or creer. Here is a crazy idea put him at fullback jeez.

A lot of the juking is because there's a d-lineman meeting him 2 yards deep in the backfield.

I don't fault him for any of his runs up the middle. I don't expect him to get any yards when his offensive line is laying on the ground in front of him. Fulmer can't fix the running game. He can't fix the special teams. He needs to leave.

Running the ball right at Derrick Harvey over and over was a super brilliant decision. Masterful strategy. Do we even try to come up with a gameplan?

He seems to have lost some speed since he has put on 20 pounds but looks like a better runner. He does, however, seem to make the most crucial mistakes at the most crucial times. It also seems like the other team always is in position to make us pay for it when he does. Why can't Tennessee do some of those things that teams that play us do?If the other team fumbles, we either don't get on it or if we do we don't take advantage of it.He seems to halt momentum and begin momentum for the other teams alot.I think he is better than he was last year though and if he had speed, he would be outstanding.

I think he jukes because he can't run over people. He can't juke people too well either so he usually gets tackled by the first guy who hits him. At least Coker could sometimes outrun them.

I get the feeling that if we played Wake Forest, the Demon Deacons would run the ball all over us, stuff us on defense, and win by 17. Their athletes are vastly inferior. Their coaching is overwhelmingly superior. We aren't going to fix the running game with this staff.

yep. he has a history of fumbling at the most inopportune times. 2005 south carolina, 2007 outback bowl, and today. he's fine when he plays the southern misses and memphises of the world.

Foster escapes a lot of tackles with his stiffarm. He isn't going to run anyone over before the line of scrimmage. He won't have any momentum at that point.

that's sad, because he supposedly is our "power back."

If you can't hand off the ball, you shouldn't start at QB....in addition if you can't throw the ball more than 15 yards as well. That is a coaching problem......This was the first game in over 10 years that I turned off.........

If Ainge could hand him the ball normally, I don't think it would be a problem. I guess an injured pinky prevents you from holding a ten ounce ball four feet off the ground.

what's even more sad is that can you imagine, with better coaching, what a group foster, coker, and hardesty would be?

So would Boise St. Boise St probably hasnt had a top 50 recruiting class in history.

At 6'1" and 225lbs he should be able to run over 170lbs DB's...just my .02

he just is unable to build up any momentum or "run downhill." it goes back to what i was saying about trying to run upstream in a river. he just has what seems to be a poor stride, a high center of gravity, or poor balance.

I'm not sold on our OL coach, but I think it's too late to ask for replacing assistants. Will need to replace the whole regime.
