does anyone think Foster can hack it in the NFL. i dont see him being much of one. all the articles and word around campus is that he's a clown and thinks too highly of himself. i for one will not be sad if he leaves and actually hope he does.

What is it about Arian Foster that makes people want to throw him under the bus?

Nothing like rooting for a young man to fail. He's going to stay and get his degree. So sorry that his presence in Knoxville will negatively affect your life.

A few clowns unfairly labeled him the next Jamal Lewis after his performance in 2005. When injuries slowed him down in 2006, those same guys turned on him and have refused to change their position again.

Hardesty and Creer have really proven they can take over if Foster leaves. UT will need Foster more than ever before in 2008.

Which running back currently on the roster would you have liked to have seen get more carries this year?

I'm not saying he's Barry Sanders, but he's solid, works hard, knows the offense, answers the bell every single time, and he's the best we've got right now.

I'm a big fan of Arian. I hope he does well wherever he goes and I've not heard about clowning around but the oppisite. I've heard he is trying to get rid of the critics that say he fumbles too much and has worked very hard.

I remember how happy a lot students were to see Casey Clausen leave. Those same guys saw how well Erik Ainge played against UNLV and said he'd win us a National Championship before he left.

Evidently you didn't see how awesome Lennon Creer looked in the fourth quarter against an already defeated Southern Miss team just before he fumbled.

Those were the same people that saw Brent Schaeffer juke one UNLV defender and thought he was the next Michael Vick.

The next guy is always better. I think there were a few people on VN that even wanted to see Bo Hardegree start at QB. I'm not kidding.

Foster jokes with the media a lot. How hard did Hardesty run in 2006? He juked in the backfield pretty hard I guess. Arian Foster ran for a full yard more per carry than Hardesty this season. I guess Foster runs harder every time he touches the ball.

he ran hard when he had the opportunity. its like norwood with the falcons. fast, runs hard and over people but lets not stray from foster.

Hardesty is good . . . when he can actually stay on the field. He's had injury issues ever since he got to Knoxville.

That's a valid criticism, but I really think the good has outweighed the bad with Foster despite the key fumbles. He really doesn't fumble all that much, it's just that he's had 3 really inopportune mistakes.

which is three too many when the game is lost because of them.

Let's see. Arian touches the ball we get 5.1 yards. Hardesty touches the ball we get 4.1 yards. I see where you're coming from. We need to take the rock from Foster and give it to Montario.

It was in KNS. Foster is a hard worker but saying he does it sexy was pretty ridiculous.

He is what he is...

BTW, Hardesty would be great if he could stay healthy or else play effectively hurt. So far he's been unavailable for duty more than available.

It's still a team game though. Name one game where a little bit of offense wouldn't have overcome Foster's mistake. We still should have won the bowl last year and the SC game in 2005 despite Foster's fumbles.

The South Carolina game was competitive mainly because of Arian. The Florida game would have been lost regardless of anything he did. The Penn State game was still winnable after his fumble. The defense just decided it no longer wanted to tackle Tony Hunt.

There are people who talk out both sides of their mouth when it comes to players here at UT? Get out of here. :acute:
