Speak for yourself. If anybody couldn’t see how special JD was while he was here, then shame on them.

They don’t give those engineering degrees away and he was a great player who carried an abysmal coach. Plus, his character and community service were impeccable.

The absolute, total package and model student-athlete.
My brother is a UT Alum majoring in EE. We were talking about Dobbs during one of his games about him seeming to play uptight. My brother said "I bet he is mentally tired, engineering is no joke and the professors don't give any breaks, they do not care if you play football..". Now my daughter is at UT in the engineering program.. And I don't see how players manage all that.. It seems hard enough in itself... Hats off to all student athletes!

If Dobbs is cut, it will not affect him at all.He after all has a degree in Aerospace engineering. View attachment 188710Astro touched all the bases with his scholarship!!

It will affect him. Google. SPOTRAC. NFL and you will see that Dobbs earns $695,000 per season. He won't earn that at NASA
Also Dobbs works late Aug - late Dec. He is off of work 7 months per year. NASA won't give him 7 months of vacation

It isn't always about football. Josh Dobbs is a stand-up, solid dude. We need more people like him in the world. I'm proud he wore Orange. I hope one day he designs something on the first human Martian lander after he makes bank in the pros.

This was great to read. His humanity and love for the children is wonderful. But, who can ever forget that Georgia Hail Mary! WOW! Gave me something to cheer about and show the UGA faithful we were tough. Been other games, but I will never forget the GA game since I live down here and have to see those hats and other merch daily. Felt good to wear the Orange and White.

Pittsburgh is going to have open competition for the 2nd string QB in training camp.
Should Dobbs lose out to Rudolph, I am concerned Steelers will cut Dobbs
And if they did, I’m confident he’d find a spot on another team...most likely Carolina.

I remember a video of JD arriving for a game with SC. He had a bookbag loaded with his books and it was finals week. We lost that game and it looked like he wasn't into that game. I always thought his mind was elsewhere. I can't imagine the stress he must have been under.

he addmitted as much later. Had some massive exam that week in some subject I can't pronounce.
