I don't remember this guy

Solid WR that overachieved in the NFL. Undrafted free agent, practice squad guy. Injury cut his career short.

Best year was 2005 with San Diego, where according to ESPN he 57 catches. Not too bad.

Had class with Eric at UT and used to see him out and about in Nashville after school in bars, etc.. Then moved out to SD and saw him out here occasionally when he was playing for the Chargers. Always a very outgoing and friendly guy. He was one of SD's top receivers until he got hurt a couple of years ago. Great to see him land back on his feet.

When I was a manager for the team, he was one of the nicest players in the complex. Fantastic player as well.

this comment is 100% asinine if you're suggesting he failed as a football player.

I never said he "failed as a football player." However, it would also be 100% asinine if you wouldn't concede that most if not all of the Chargers current wide receivers are probably better right now than Parker was at the pinnacle of his career.

it shouldn't matter. parker was one of most overacheiving nfl players to come out of ut in recent memory. he was a decent wideout for us. never flashy, but got the job done. i didn't think he would do anything after he left, but he proved me(along with many others) wrong. i would consider his football career a success just based on the number of people he probably surprised when he got to the next level
