Former UF WR Reche Caldwell Shot and Killed in Tampa

From Some of the thing I read It sounds like Caldwell’s life had gotten off course some the past few years and that it could possibly have led to him being in a position where something tragic like this might occur . I’m not trying to speak ill of the dead, just interested to see if you knew much about what locals are saying down there.

I would say this is highly probable. People living lives outside the criminal element arent generally ambushed and murdered.

Certainly that is what his mother believes - this was not a random act. The Tampa Bay Times had a nice interview with his former high school head football coach who said he was flat out the best football talent he had ever coached. Played QB in high school in Tampa; the high school is large and has sent a number of players to the NFL. Sad.

Too young. I wish these guys could do more with the opportunity that is given them but once you’re catered to your entire adult life, it’s tough going 9-5 For a living like everyone else.
