I can't believe you're remotely dense enough to think those billboards have anything to do with selling tickets or promoting Eric Berry. It's simple: Kiffin saw how well Schiano's use of billboards in South Florida worked. It's that simple. So let me get this straight. You honestly believe CLK walks into the marketing department and says, "Hey guys, I've been thinking, we should put up billboards across the state pushing Berry for heisman. And while we're at it, we should put some in GA and FL pushing ticket sales."
To which everyone in the MARKETING department slaps their heads and say, "Dude, what a great idea. We never thought about that. Since our ticket sales have cratered we were trying to think of a way to advertise. Thanks Lane, you're the best."

No, it probably went this way. Marketing came to Kiffin and discussed strategy with him. After kicking around many ideas, the billboard idea was filtered out.
Give Kiffin some credit and quit bashing!
