It's going to get worse in Virginia. Webb is going to get absolutely slaughtered on this stuff that he has written. Has anybody read this stuff? It's unbelievable that (1) He wrote it; (2) Nobody has found this before now.
Yeah, it's some of the strangest stuff I've read since Scooter Libby's girl-bear sex passages. However, some are saying instead of it being fiction, it might be a little of fiction and fact based on things he saw in Vietnam. Did you know that John McCain endorsed it?
Well if you saw Scooter's writings, Lynne Cheney's writings, and even Newt's writings, you'd say there's no room for one side to attack the other. Don't forget the non-fiction explicit writings of Mark Foley. If you can bury real life salacious writings, surely fiction can get a pass.
And like was previously mentioned, you have a closet Jeiwsh racist who runs his mouth a little too much vs. a guy who did nothing but write stories based on what he's seen.
Forget what anybody from another party has done and whether you or I think this is bad or not. I think it's safe to assume that a great many voters are going to be turned off by this.
When the author of the Bible runs for office, you can take it up with him.
Well when this is being used as a political tool in campaigns nationwide, I'd say this is relevant.
So let me see. You are telling me that someone who writes about things he's seen while in war and the military is somehow unqualified for office? That's the cheapest, most illogical reason to NOT vote for someone I've seen.
It's funny to see now the GOP has turned PC in book writing. Allen says this book is offensive and demeaning to women and children. Someone who makes statements about Jewish roots and Macaca has much credibility accusing someone else of being offensive. When Allen makes offensive statements directly from his mouth and Webb writes fiction about things he's seen, I see this as a very cheap attempt to discredit Webb.
Allen and the GOP are on this PC bandwagon of making sure writings don't offend women?? I guess writing about real life happenings has now been banned by the Puritans. From now on, do not write about reality. Only write sugar-coated warm and fuzzy items. You never know when the PC police might spin this against you.
George Allen isn't David Duke. He's the modern day version of Jesse Helms. Get it right.Dude . . . calm down. I haven't said anything indicating that I think this is right or wrong. All I said was that it WOULD have an impact.
And don't give me this PC crap after the way the Democrats tried to turn Allen into David Duke.
