god it's hard to find quotes for that movie that don't need to be heavily censored for the board.

I held a Big Lebowski party for friends in the Atlanta area earlier this year. Tons of fun. We went bowling first ("league play"), and then I served "picks in blankets" and "lingonberry pancakes" in honor of the nihilists. FYI - IKEA is your source for everything lingonberry.

Has anyone else seen No Country For Old Men? What a hell of a movie. I loved it.

Saw No Country for Old Men last Saturday on a date with the new gf (she's amazing). Don't know what to think of it... the ending was abrupt and there was chaos all over. Made me think of Donnie Darko for some odd reason. And the accents sucked, they don't really talk like that in Texas do they?

No Country was amazing, and absolutely true to McCarthy's work. I looked forward to it for about six months, and I wasn't disappointed.

I thought the accents were pretty decent - although you have to remember that the actress who played Carla Jean Moss is actually from Scotland, so considering that, her dialect coach did a hell of a job.

The ending was abrupt, granted, but it did stay true to McCarthy's novel. I enjoyed it.
