same posters who coined the phrase "clawfense" how soon we forget!

you guys act like this cat showed up w/ 3 nc already under his belt.

5.3 mill and we havent done squat in recruiting and are still losiing our previous commits after meeting wonderboy.

somethings just not right,personality?

i dont know,you tell me.

we may not know for a couple, three years how far he'll take us in wins and losses
but we should see much better recruiting next year, now that he's got a full staff, and their not coming in after the recruiting for this year has already started

"kiffin said every top recruit he was after at usc had the vols listed as well.our national perception remains strong (another reason he felt we were a good fit for him).

with his energy and obvious evaluation talents,we will be back stronger than ever."

Posivol, those are your words from a post you made back on December 5th.

What changed your mind?

Go Vols.

Having witnessed 10 years of Fulmer's "heckuva class" play well below expectations, I don't have a problem with giving this staff a couple of years to prove they can recruit.

And more importantly, coach. The funny thing is, if this staff wins 7, 8, or 9 games next season, and then wins a bowl game, they will have done as much, or more...with Fulmer's recruits...than Fulmer and his staff did in the past four years.

That right there will tell the tale.

this is for the mighty loftin3.

Phillips committed to UT in June but became a prime target for Auburn when it hired away former UT coach Trooper Taylor from Oklahoma State in January.

would you really still have reaves than trooper ?

and who has reaves recruited, trooper is on fire at auburn.

Aubrey pretty much admitted the reason he likes Auburn is because his buddy is committed there. And Trooper absolutely would have been on the sidelines laughing with Briscoe. He was far to interested in making friends with the players. And of course he liked to use that friendship as leverage for promotions.

NEWSFLASH. Trooper isn't on our staff! I could careless what his qualities are or aren't. Are you a Trooper fan or a Tennessee fan? OK you like Trooper but whats your point? I like Muschamp but he isn't on our staff either (damn that Kiffin). What's Briscoe with an e got to do with anything? Are we bringing last years staff back or are you saying Trooper is the only coach that can control of the players on the sideline? Do you think our staff is afraid of recruiting against backwards hat? Your Trooper talk reminds me of the people who were brain washed into thinking Fulmer is the only person that could possibly recruit here. Trooper may very well be a good coach but he doesn't coach here and believe it or not there are good coaches everywhere he isn't the only one.

did you even know clk offered and trooper said no!

The recruits that we "may" lose or have lost were recruits committed to the previous staff. Why is everyone blaming CLK for recruits lost, when if our current staff had thought they were good players we would have locked them down. Our new staff set targets that they felt would be better for our program then some of the previous recruits and went after them for 6 weeks. Some of the kids had already determined where they were going a long time ago but we tried, we may get 1 or 2 we may not. The point is the days are gone when the previous staff had a long tenure and could get some big recruits in but could not coach them. It appears to me that CLK went for some homeruns but his bigger plan is to get ready for 2010 class. I am not trying to make excuses but if I am going to build a house I have to make sure the foundation is solid before I can build the walls.
