"They could barely get a snap today or get the snap count down. We basically had to call the snap count in the huddle for them. They both have a long ways to go, as would anybody coming in on their first day," Kiffin said when asked about Lamaison and Rozier.

From TOS.

Did anyone seriously expect a noob to start after day one?

Reality check.

I don't think anyone really expects them to be world beaters. Competence would be nice though.

i would be nervous if i were in their shoes. they will get comfortable and show their skills.

It's unrealistic and stupid to expect them to know as much about the offense on the first day of practice as two guys that have been here since Spring.

It also doesn't mean they will be unable to eventually contribute.

I'd say their heads were reeling, apparently they did an NFL type install starting at 6AM and Kiffin said something to the effect that it was like a weeks worth of stuff installed the first day. Apparently Crompton didn't fair much better with the cadence. It's just the first day.

Imagine that.

Keep in mind, today was Day 1. Other reports I have read say that Lamaison looked really sharp. I don't think he'll start against WKU, but if he shows significant improvement, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up taking some snaps by the time to get bama

*note* I said taking some snaps in game, not starting.

Won't happen. Kiffin only wants one guy at QB.

It's just going to take time for Rozier and Lamaison to get used to the system just like the rest of the team.

We have 2 unproven/mediocre QB's right now so I say its anyones position to win come Sep.
