I was perusing certain sites this afternoon, and came across the nugget that we are 6-1 Against the Spread in our past 7 games against teams with winning records. A&M is 4-10 ATS overall in its last 14 games at home.

Since Dobbs became our QB in 2014, we just haven't really gotten blown out at all. The closest that we came to getting blown out was 2014 against Missouri, but we scored late to cut it to 8. If the '15 Vols were capable of going to Alabama and having a chance to win the game in the final minute, maybe I should have more confidence that we can do the same (or better) tomorrow. In the predictions thread, I'm on record as having us getting blown out, but I'm rethinking that (because Fridays are made for putting on the orange glasses, right?). Now I'm thinking it's another nail biter that could go either way all the way to 0:00.

Not having 3/4 of our best defenders is going to really suck in this game. If we had them then I would say we win easily, but now I say it's a toss up.

Butch has this team believing.
There is something special going on this season.
With this team it’s all about the next man up.

For years the lack of depth has been a credible excuse. There is depth at most positions now and where there isn't it is because of poor recruiting targets. No excuses! GO BIG ORANGE1

If we're a good bet to cover then we're a reasonable bet to win. Pulling out close games is our thing this year.

Well... after coming back to make them close, that is.
