I was born and raised in Johnson City and went to UT (Graduated in 2010). I grew up going to Bucs games in the Mini Dome and watching the Vols on TV. I'll be at the game on Saturday wearing Orange.
I watched Chad Pennington and Randy Moss tear up ETSU in the MiniDome… was my first college game as a matter of fact. Also watched Micheal Johnson run at a track meet there once. Of course, watched Mister Jennings play some phenomenal ball… Good times.

I am glad you mentioned the mini dome. I did not know they no longer played there and was shocked at the picture of the stadium above. When did they leave the mini dome? Is the facility still there or did they tear it down?

We follow and support both schools.

Did Undergrd and Grad there. Been an ETSU fan since used to wipe up courts after Major, Mister, Keith, Jerry, and Alvin. Been some really fun ball teams play in the tin can.

Watched us nearly beat GA Tech inside TBA when hosted a regional in 89 I believe.

Love the football team, baseball, and esp basketball. We're season ticket holdere.

Its really a fantastic venue. Same for the football stadium. View attachment 770293
This was from the NDSU game.

Just a sports fan. Honestly with Neyland being a drunk fest anymore. Its refreshing to go seek live sports elsewhere. Ive caught Maryville Scots and Rebels games. been to see TN play baseball. All fun times.
Cool story but I've paid for my pizza already. You can go

That must have been expensive. I'm happy for you, knowing what pizza costs these days.

Just curious, I've been around here since '05. Do Mods always talk to posters in a dickish, dismissive manner? Your choice. I'm just a plebe.

Or is this a place where all fans can engage, civilly? Please if I said something against board rules, please let me know.

You mean do VN posters always take light hearted shots at an opposing fan base? Yeah, it's been done since at least 05

Are you always so whiny? It's a very old joke - how do you get a bama/florida/georgia grad off your porch? Pay for the pizza

When they decided to bring football back in 2015 they built the stadium. The dome is still there, they use it for concerts and other random events.

Have you ever buried a tin can? It doesnt move.

Its still there. Hosts the NAIA track tourney once a year. Socon bball tourney is in Asheville. Would be perfect in JC.

Mini Dome also has largest indoor model train meeting in SE, annually. 👀
