Dateline: The Orange Bowl.

1. I was lucky enough to score really good seats.
2. Football apparently makes for interesting seatmates. I looked two rows behind me and Donna Shalala and Jeb Bush were seated together.
3. Dennis Franchione needs to update his resume.
4. If Kyle Wright had a big time arm, Miami's speed at wide receiver could do some real damage.
5. Having now seen Erin Andrews up close, she's attractive. However, in the pantheon of football babes, she still lags far behind Jayne Kennedy and Julie Moran.
6. The Orange Bowl now looks like a stadium in some economically destitute African nation. They won't have to spend much when they demolish it. I couple of shots with a sledgehammer will bring the place down.
7. The "Sunsations" are stunning as ever.
8. Talked to some Florida Atlantic folks today who are convinced that Arkansas State can hang with Tennessee for 3 quarters.
9. I never dreamed I'd see A&M be this consistently bad on defense. I can't wait to see what OU, Texas, and Nebraska do to them.
10. Does anyone know a good place for lunch in Tulsa?

We should feel extremely lucky to have the Florida Atlantic prognosticators available to our board... :eek:lol:

They're a little more than your average prognosticators, but I see your point. VolNation: Your official site for Sun Belt information.

Maybe someday our current coach will need the information published for job placement.

After last weekend, nobody should take the Sun Belt Conference lightly. Good for them -- but let's hope that they're done beating BCS conference teams for at least a weekend.

I'd almost completely forgotten about Jayne Kennedy, but I really, really enjoyed seeing naked pictures of her when I was about 12.

Mmm. Thanks for bringing her up.

You're welcome. Ms. Kennedy pops in my head everytime someone tries to tell me that Erin Andrews is the apex of football babes.

Was at a high school football game in the early nineties (my daughter was a cheerleader for a local team). Turned around after taking my seat to look around and came eye to eye with Fred Smith, CEO and founder of FedEx. Immediately turned back around knowing he knew I recognized him. After a while I turned around again and just said "How ya doin". We talked throughout the game as one of his sons was on the football team like we had known each other forever. Very friendly and down to earth guy.

Who was that female that did the "weather" on the pregame show on Fox a few years back.

Here is a question. The spread was 1.5 with A&M the underdogs. How do the "odds makers" miss a game so badly?

they put the line at a place that will draw even money, that doesn't mean that they think the game will end that way.

i wonder if there is anything you can extrapolate from the Miami/OU game and the Miami/A&M game in regards to the A&M/OU match up later this year?

if there is, then i'd have to say that A&M is in serious trouble.

The Orange Bowl has looked like a stadium in Cameroon since about 1980. Nothing new there.

I expect Tulsa to hang around for a little while, but OU should put at least 45 on the board.

OU beat A&M 77-0 a few years ago. If last night is any indication, it could happen again.
