Football Xs and Os regarding Georgia

In the Sugar Bowl CFP last season, Notre Dame beat UGA. Gunner Stockton started at QB for UGA. There was a special teams score (I think kickoff return) by ND as well.

For those of you who can interpret game plans, how did ND beat UGA. What did they do and can we copy it?
Stockton had very little playing time under his belt for that game. He is more experienced now. I would say the keys to winning are, win the TO battle, Run the ball, Get pressure on Stockton.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think the uncharacteristic play of UGA was more about bad luck or did ND do things which contributed? Did UGA play tighter or press as the game 'got away" from them, for example?
The NO experience was a complete train wreck from a UGA point of view. 1st you had a kid making his first start vs a stout D and UGA was always going to try to win a physical slugfest as opposed to airing it out. Next the game was delayed by a day due to the terror attack and the UGA coaching staff was distracted due to Sonny Smart (Kirby's dad) falling and breaking his hip which would end up being fatal.

Now, I give ND all the credit for winning the game because they won the rock fight but that wasn't the same team you guys faced in Athens for a lot of reasons. Having said that, the Dawgs have been somewhat sloppy in the first 2 games vs mega cupcakes. If that was anything other than Kirby using the day to evaluate depth players, you guys may be toting goal posts to the river again.

Based on Visidog's description of the ND-UGa game, doesn't sound like they present us with a template we can use. I mean, we are a running team, but we're not a plodding, ball-control kind of offense. We're a very different team than that.

So we're just gonna have to figure out and do it our way.

Go Vols!
I think the way we beat them is doing what we did to Bama in 2022. We need to come out swinging and build an early lead. It will keep the crowd in it and force them to throw.
