Football Recruiting as of now...

So Bama picks up huge commit despite already being loaded, and florida is racking them up despite losing almost their entire staff.

We on the other hand, continue to lose commits, and miss out on strong leans/other recruits.

I know its been said that we are in it for a bunch of guys but how realistic is it that we even pull in a top ten class at this point. And it seems like we really arent that "in it" with these recruits.

So, I guess what Im asking is...

Does anyone know anything good for us in recruiting ?

Hey dumbass.

If Chaz Green and Corey Miller get their 5th star and Michael Taylor gets his fourth, which puts us at the #1 class, then what say you then? :whistling:

And that is not counting Quarles potentially signing.

Dirk your math is off. Adding Chaz Green and having M Taylor get his 4th star (which should happen) and C Miller getting his 5th does not make us the number 1 class.

Getting C Nelson, A Dixon and Seastrunk to go with Chaz Green, switching Quarles and Stripling and Chaz Green and Shon Coleman and 1 more stud I am forgetting (another LB like Christian Jones?) would potentially result in a number 1 class. It would be close enough to Florida and Alabama that we would be 1/4 of the way there to being on equally footing with the most talented teams in the country.

We'd be VERY fortunate to land anywhere in the Top 10 with the circumstances that have transpired over the past few months...including blowout losses to Ole Miss and VT.

That's not even including our 2nd team defense getting walked all over by a lame Memphis team in the 2nd half of that game. This staff is going to have to do a good job of selling early playing time, cause evidence of on-field improvement has been rather uninspiring.

Well, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s***!!

We weren't deep at any defensive position as well. We had to play a gimpy Wes Brown for a reason. Walker was battling back problems all year. Our CBs are terrible and not SEC quality.

The fact is, Monte showed the entire SEC how to defend the Florida offense. Other than that, he can scheme all day long but if you don't have the talent to play, it doesn't matter.

I agree with the majority of your post. As a group, our CB play was lacking, but IMO, Dennis Rogan played very well, particularly against Bama. If he can keep his head on straight and avoid disciplinary issues, he could be All SEC next year. I hope I'm right, because he'll be relied on to cover the #1 WR with minimal assistance.

Most of these folks are not even aware of what either animal you were referencing is. As far as NSD, we are going to be allright. Those who want to be here, will. We will crush the rest of them. V,B!
