As we approach the start of the basketball season and head into a football off week, I'd like to propose a few rules for the football posters temporarily moonlighting here. A violation of any of these rules will result in an automatic 1 year ban:

1. Suggesting that a basketball player would make a good tight end in football
2. Referring to a national championship as a "natty"
3. Suggesting that basketball should be mostly ignored until football is over
4. Mentioning that you usually don't post in the basketball forum (we know)
5. Jokingly suggesting that Heupel also coach basketball

I think these rules will help quite a bit

1. Is it okay to say that Felix Okpara would make an excellent Left tackle?
2. Don't worry, Natty mean Natural Light and Natural Light only.
3. Basketball should be ignored until the Alabama game is over.
4. no comment
5. Heupel should stick with football. Kim Caldwell should consider moving over once Coach Banres hangs it up.

You're right. These do help.

1) Don’t show up only after losses (or close wins in which UT struggles vs. a lightweight) to complain.

2) Don’t blame everything on “poor coaching.”

3) Don’t blame everything on “bad playcalling.”

The ole basketball player to the football team was actually tried by Stanley Asumnu. Didn't go so well even though everybody thought he would block every kick attempted against us.

I would still like to see a college or NFL team sign a Wemby type strictly to try and block field goals. Line him up behind the line of scrimmage and let him jump unimpeded. Seems like it could work.
