I got it for youth football, 79.00 dollars. I got a lot more out of it than it's s'pose to offer. I'd imagine the "real version" would be much better for you. It was easy to use and fairly reliable, but I worked my version to the max. The players commented how much more "pro" it looked. Of course, we're talking middle school here. I've seen the high school playbook for our system and this was better, easier to read. FWIW
I believe it is. There is a fork from Open Office called Libre Office that is getting more support from developers. I believe there is a version for almost every IOS. And best of all it is free. I use it a lot because it's more like the old Windows 97 before all the ribbons.
Apple's Keynote blows PowerPoint out of the water. It's only $19.99 in the App Store. Works well on iPad too but action builds that you would want to animate plays don't work on the mobile version.
Charlie Coiner - ex TE coach at UT has his own software. Pretty sure XOS Digital has software that a lot of NFL teams are utilizing on an Ipad. Playmaker pro is pretty simple, as are powerpoint, word, and excel templates.
Also--TFS teams aren't handing out playbooks any more. Pretty easy for them when all of their plays are one word and they don't change their blocking scheme.
